Job Description

Responsible for the overall culinary strategy for the region across all lines of business. Responsible for the execution of programs that develop the culinary talent in the region and deliver measurable outcomes through, contract retention, new business opportunities, client satisfaction and revenue growth. This person must be seen as an effective leader and innovator within Aramark driving scalable solutions. 

Job Responsibilities

Culinary Operations
o    Work with the regional culinary team to ensure high quality culinary programs across all sectors, delivering service excellence, innovation and quality, financial responsibility and safe practices
o    Oversee and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and culinary services across all locations in the region
o    Develop and implement standardized recipes, menus, and culinary techniques to meet the organization’s standards and client expectations


Leadership
o    Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of chefs, fostering a collaborative high-performance culture
o    Set clear expectations, motivate, and inspire the team to achieve culinary excellence
o    Assist in sales process for new business growth
o    Oversee very specialized catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
o    Coordinates activities with other internal departments. Participates in management team meetings. Interfaces with vendors and key service users with client organization.


Menu Development
o    Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and diverse menus that cater to the preferences and dietary requirements of our clients
o    Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into menu planning using out Proprietary Menu System
o    Develop and implement new ideas that will generate revenue growth to the dining services program 


Training and Development
o    Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the culinary skills and knowledge of the chefs in your region
o    Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support their professional growth 
o    Assists with training and development of all culinary and food service professionals in the standards of food preparation and presentation
 

Quality Assurance
o    Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
o    Ensures proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items, including production, presentation, and service standards
o    Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary
o    Supports Brand Management team to uphold the standards of Aramark Brands throughout the region


Client Relationship Management
o    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences
o    Collaborate with them to create customized culinary solutions that exceed their expectations 
o    Sales presentation and meeting with clients on site


Budget Management
o    Work closely with the regional management team to develop and manage budgets for culinary operations, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards


Compliance
o    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety, food handling, and licensing requirements 
o    Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes 

Qualifications

-    Culinary degree or equivalent certification
-    10 years of previous experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume food service environment 
-    5 years experience in high end catering operations, fine dining and ideally events 
-    Preferable to have experience in health care operations
-    Experience with new concepts, menu and recipe development, food presentation and creative skills that result in the achievement of business objectives
-    Strong leadership skills
-    In-depth knowledge of culinary arts, foods preparation techniques, and menu planning
-    Excellent organizational and time management skills
-    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-    Knowledge of Aramark food safety standards and sanitation regulations. Advanced Food Safety Certification
-    Flexibility to travel within the region, as required.
