Housekeeping Manager – Senior Living Community - Full-Time, Onsite – Calgary, AB


We’re looking for a Housekeeping Manager who takes pride in creating safe, clean, and welcoming spaces for residents, families, and staff. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee housekeeping and laundry services within a senior living community, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and resident comfort.
You’ll provide hands on leadership to a dedicated team, support a respectful and culturally responsive environment, and ensure that residents feel at home in every space they use.
With Aramark’s ongoing expansion in healthcare and senior living facilities across Canada, we are prioritizing candidates who can support diverse client populations. We are especially interested in Chinese bilingual professionals with 3–5 years of housekeeping and environmental services leadership experience, including exposure to purchasing, contracted services, and maintenance/repair quoting. The ideal candidate brings both hands on housekeeping and light maintenance experience, supporting our commitment to safe, efficient, and culturally attuned facility operations.

Job Responsibilities

•    Provide daily leadership and guidance to housekeeping associates, laundry staff, and a part time supervisor
•    Ensure the community maintains a safe, clean, and aseptic environment that supports resident wellbeing
•    Oversee housekeeping and laundry operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
•    Maintain compliance with all quality, safety, and risk management protocols
•    Lead orientation and ongoing training programs to ensure staff are equipped to work efficiently in a fast paced, resident focused environment
•    Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, inventory, and contracted services
•    Support capital planning, facility improvements, and maintenance/repair coordination, including obtaining quotes and liaising with vendors
•    Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, ensuring service is respectful, responsive, and culturally sensitive
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation in alignment with company, regulatory, and Ministry of Health/Long Term Care standards
•    Promote a positive team culture grounded in respect, integrity, fairness, and service excellence
•    Champion Aramark’s policies, procedures, and Health & Safety standards

Qualifications

•    High school diploma required; a certificate in Housekeeping or Laundry Management is an asset
•    3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or senior living/healthcare environments
•    Experience with purchasing, vendor management, contracted services, and maintenance/repair quoting
•    Strong ability to lead teams through change with motivation, clarity, and empathy
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to build relationships with residents, families, and internal/external partners
•    Familiarity with Ministry of Health and Long Term Care regulations (preferred)
•    Bilingual ability (English + Mandarin or Cantonese) is considered a strong asset
•    Ability to engage respectfully with residents and families and demonstrate cultural understanding and living preferences, including through translated signage or bilingual communication where required

The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00.
