Job Description
The Food Service Manager plays a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and resident focused dining experience within our long term care community. You’ll oversee daily food service operations, support your team, and ensure meals are prepared and delivered with care, consistency, and compliance. This role manages a menu based dining program where residents receive prepared meals aligned with dietary needs and preferences.

Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members using Aramark’s leadership model.
• Recognize great work and foster a positive, respectful workplace.
• Set clear expectations and ensure the team meets service, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Lead daily huddles to align on resident needs, menu changes, and operational priorities.
• Maintain strong food safety and sanitation practices across all areas.
Resident & Client Partnership
• Build strong relationships with site leadership, care teams, and residents.
• Understand resident needs, preferences, and dietary requirements, and ensure they are reflected in daily operations.
• Communicate proactively about menu changes, service updates, and operational progress.
Financial & Operational Management
• Manage and maintain accurate P&L statements.
• Meet financial targets for food costs, labor, and waste reduction.
• Use Aramark systems to monitor performance metrics, inventory trends, and cost drivers.
• Train your team on the key levers that improve margins while maintaining quality and resident satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
• Ensure efficient operations through smart cost control and strong production management.
• Meet food and labor targets aligned with Operational Excellence standards.
• Ensure all team members are trained and confident in daily tasks, including meal service, portioning, and safe food handling.
• Oversee production, quality, and consistency of meals served to residents.
Compliance & Safety
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Follow all policies and regulations related to food safety, infection prevention, health standards, and wage/hour compliance.
• Ensure documentation and processes meet long term care regulatory requirements.
Dining Room & Service Leadership
• Lead front of house dining operations in partnership with the Food Service Director.
• Coordinate meal service, staffing, and resident dining experience to ensure smooth, respectful, and timely service.
• Support special diets, texture modifications, and individualized resident needs.
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of food service experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, care teams, and clients.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service using Aramark’s service model.
• Ability to collaborate across departments to support a unified resident experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.

The pay range for this position is $53,045.00 - $65,776.00.
