Job Description

The Catering Manager leads the day‑to‑day operations of our Catering department and plays a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for our clients. This role partners closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and catering team to ensure every event runs smoothly from first inquiry to final execution.

Job Responsibilities

•    Oversee all catering functions and special events for internal and external clients.

•    Meet with clients to understand event needs, including menus, floor plans, rentals, and staffing.

•    Manage bookings, prepare proposals, and create catering contracts.

•    Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan customized menus.

•    Review and approve all catering contracts prior to events.

•    Ensure clear communication of event details so staff can execute successfully.

•    Maintain high standards of service, hospitality, and food quality.

•    Manage catering inventory and purchasing.

•    Participate in operational reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

•    Oversee the catering budget and support financial targets.

•    Lead weekly team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and support.

•    Build relationships with new and existing clients to grow the business.

•    Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care.

•    Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance.

•    Ensure proper handling of company property.

•    Ensure all staff follow Health & Safety policies and Aramark procedures.

•    Uphold Classic Fare Catering standards and participate in program updates.

•    Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•    2–4 years of catering or event management experience.
•    Proven ability to grow business and build strong client relationships.
•    Completion of a Hospitality or Food & Beverage program.
•    Strong customer service and communication skills.
•    Confident leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
•    High attention to detail.
•    Valid driver’s license.

Education

Associates preferred
Minimum 1-2 years experience
