Job Description

The Custodial Services Lead/ Supervisor Worker cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction and will be responsible for oversight and delegation of responsibilities within the custodial services operation. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day guidance to front-line custodial employees, demonstrates ownership and accountability, and supports the manager in maintaining safe, clean, and sanitized healthcare facilities.
  • Builds positive working relationships by providing respectful, reliable, and supportive direction to employees and assisting with day-to-day questions and concerns.
  • Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and aramark regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others.
  • Completes routine inspections of facility cleanliness, and infection control practices; addresses minor issues promptly; provides basic coaching to staff; and reports recurring or significant concerns to the manager.
  • Conduct monthly client satisfaction surveys to assess service quality, identify improvement opportunities, and address client concerns in a timely manner.
  • Meet and check-in with the client and attend meetings as requested.
  • Responsible for inventory management and ordering of supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and uninterrupted operations.
  • Review job routines, programs and systems for housekeeping.
  • Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel.
  • Take the lead and coordinate schedules for special projects.
  • Ensures security of company assets including compliance with equipment management and accountability program.
  • Assists the manager with employee onboarding, training, attendance follow-up, work assignments, schedule coverage, and basic performance coaching; documents concerns and refers formal performance or employee-relations matters to the manager and Human Resources.
  • Ensure compliance with the Waste Management Program and provide staff with the training and resources required to meet program standards.
  • Assists with completing and maintaining required Aramark logs, housekeeping records, inspections, safety documentation, supply records, daily hour controls, and other routine reports in accordance with manager, Aramark, and facility requirements.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial experience required.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or related role.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • Proficient computer skills.
